In our recurring column from GARAGE Magazine, we ask our favorite creatives to dream up their ideal dream dinner party, touching upon everything from the guests and the meal served, to the decor and dress code.

Location
In the Trans-Siberian Express, traveling toward Mongolia. It would be a formal setting, typical of an Agatha Christie novel.

Guest List
My beloved Lawrence [Steele], William S. Burroughs, Shaggy Rogers, Uri Geller, Amanda Lear, Janis Joplin, Nosferatu, Edith Bouvier Beale, the Bloomsbury Group, Hedy Lamarr, Madame Bovary, Marco Ferreri, Jean-Luc Godard, Jannis Kounellis.

Dress Code
No dress code—each one in his own splendor.

Menu & Chef
Willy Wonka would be the chef. On the menu would be chocolate and mushrooms, and a cocktail made of tea with a splash of rum.

Decor
I imagine the train filled with curtains. I always dreamed about having a chocolate brown linen set, embroidered with many versions of little devils. The light is coming and going, like in an Agatha Christie scene. I’ve always dreamed of having a chocolate brown linen set, embroidered with many versions of little devils. Amanda Lear would be responsible for the tables—all she can remember from her beloved Dalí’s table setting.

Music and Mood
The sound of the train and sometimes a group of mariachi playing softly. There would be lots of chatting and a few rounds of Twister.
