In August, the Internet had a meltdown when a photograph of Rihanna and Donald Glover circulated along with suggestions that the pair were making a film together. This is the stuff of sprawling, epic fanfic, people—not reality!

But sometimes, the great Whatever in the sky delivers. And this weekend, a trailer confirming the existence of this mysterious film premiered at PHAROS Festival, Glover’s immersive multi-day event that was first staged in California a few years ago, and which was described by Vanity Fair as “a Burning Man for smart, creative millennials more interested in the experience than documenting it on social media.” (This version took place in New Zealand, and in addition to the trailer, it brought us Tierra Whack in extremely important pale blue suit and Glover in an incredible feather costume.)

A fan took iPhone footage of the trailer, confirming that the film is titled Guava Island, it was made in Cuba, and Rihanna plays Glover’s girlfriend. Even more exciting: the film is directed by Glover collaborator Hiro Murai, who has helmed most of the episodes of Atlanta and directed Glover’s “This Is America” video, as well. See the clip below.
